The Role of a Young Life Leader
Leaders are committed to being involved with kids' lives -- from supporting them at their sporting events to listening to them talk about what's important to them. Our leaders help kids consider the direction of their lives, and they offer hope for their future.
Ways to Get Involved in Northern Delaware Young Life:
- AMT (Adult Minsitry Team): a group of people who help keep Young Life succeed and grow in the area.
- Leadership/Leadership Training: become a leader with high school or middle school kids. We will take you through a quality training in leadership and Young Life.
- Friends of Young Life: a group of people who help us at specific times throughout the year such as: helping to organize events like our Annual Dessert or Golf Tournament.
- Prayer Group: Join a prayer group that meets once a month to pray and support the leaders at a high school or middle school near you!
- Prayer e-mail: Receive e-mails that give you details of our ministry to pray for.
If you are interested in any of these options, please e-mail Kate Barrett, katejbarrett@gmail.com
Giving to the United Way at Work? You can give to Young Life of Northern Delaware. Here are the numbers for United Way Giving:
Delaware: 9351 Southeastern PA: 14335 Thank you for giving through the United Way! Thank you for your support... We believe that in order to reach kids we must go where they go and enter their world. Every week in our local area, Young Life staff and volunteers can be found at school events and practices and at kids' favorite hangouts. In many cases, they are the only adult friends kids have in their lives. Our work could not be done without your support. We are grateful for your gift to Young Life. Thank you for all you do to help us reach generations of kids who desperately need to hear a message of hope.
